This fall, Danielle Erbert will be teaching 7th grade Pre-Algebra, continuing as the 7th Grade Level Chair, and serving as Exemplar Teacher at Peak Preparatory, an Uplift Education charter school. During the school year, her classroom will serve as a demonstration classroom where other teachers can observe exemplar instructional practices in action and take away tools and ideas that will benefit students and improve their performance as teachers. She will share her passion for teaching, love of learning, and drive for scholars’ academic success through teacher mentorship, which will them grow professionally. Danielle will also be participating in the second half of the Uplift Aspiring Leadership Program where she is developing her leadership skills.
Before joining Peak Preparatory’s Middle School, she taught 5th grade math for three years at Peak Preparatory’s Primary and was named Teacher Of The Year. She has also been awarded as Uplift’s Team Of The Year for providing academic support at Hampton Preparatory while also teaching at Peak Preparatory.
Prior to entering education, Danielle used her entrepreneur skills to open, manage, and successfully grow two businesses. After five years, she sold her businesses to pursue her career in education and help close the educational gap that exists in Dallas. She graduated from Southern Methodist University, where she received a Bachelors of Art in Anthropology and Sociology. She lives in Midlothian, TX with her husband and her two dogs. In her free time, Danielle enjoys spending time at the lake, boating, snow skiing, bike riding, and traveling.
