Zack Hall

School: L.V. Stockard Middle School
District: Dallas ISD

Zack Hall is an 8th Grade U.S. History Teacher at L.V. Stockard Middle School in Oak Cliff. A fourth-year Dallas ISD teacher, Zack previously taught self-contained 2nd and 3rd Grade at Nancy J. Cochran Elementary School. At Cochran, Zack’s student growth scores rated him in the 96th percentile of reading teachers and the 82nd percentile of math teachers in the district.

Originally from Frisco, Zack returned home after college and entered the classroom as a member of the charter corps of Teach For America-Dallas. Since joining the district, Zack has been honored to stand up for Dallas kids as a “Voices” teacher columnist in The Dallas Morning News—and again, as a teacher member of the Dallas ISD Teacher Evaluation Input Committee.

A proud Longhorn, Zack graduated in 2009 with a degree in Government and Spanish from The University of Texas at Austin. At UT, Zack coordinated multiple statewide and national advocacy efforts for students, acted as an Obama for America field director during the Texas Primary, and served as president of the 2008 College Democrats of America “Chapter of the Year”—the University Democrats at UT-Austin. A travel, food, and sports fanatic, Zack is always planning a trip to somewhere crazy in the world.
